Sherrie has spent 25 years working in Sales and Senior Leadership within the banking and financial services industry, managing and leading lead generation, sales, account management and sales support teams across the UK and Europe for major global payment companies such as Worldpay and Worldline. She has also worked directly with Venture Capital and Private Equity firms on key strategic projects.

Sherrie is accredited with a BA in Business and hold her Certification in Bank Card Management by Visa.

Outside of HAL Payments

Married with 2 children, Sherrie loves time with friends and family. Her spare time consists of fitting in country walks, mapping new running routes, Pilates, standing at the side of the football pitch supporting her 13-year-old and trips to the theatre with her 15-year-old.

Sally has spent over 25 years working in Sales, Management and Senior Leadership roles within the Payment Industry. Conversant in People Management, Leadership, Strategic Relationship Management and Operational Process and Implementation, through the leadership of multifarious functions such as sales, sales support, retention, account management, and systems and projects. Her experience spans UK and Europe working at senior level and as part of the senior leadership teams within major global payment companies such as Worldline and Worldpay.

Outside of HAL Payments

Married with 1 very cute chocolate labrador (Tillie), Sally enjoys spending time with her husband and Tillie roaming the beautiful Yorkshire Dales and Lake District. A keen baker (although she hasn’t quite mastered the art of bread making yet), and a regular host of dinner parties, she can’t claim to be the chef in the house, but she’s great at washing up.

A driven, hands-on, highly skilled specialist with extensive experience of selling and implementing complex international payment solutions in the large corporate space. Liam has 28 years of experience in direct selling, channel management and providing expert product, technical and commercial input to clients and partners across a wide range of sectors. Liam’s expertise has allowed clients in the UK, Europe and beyond to solve some of the most complex payments challenges, expertly guiding their expansion into new markets and territories.

Liam has a BA English and Creative Writing.

Outside of HAL Payments

Married, with 5 children, Liam is a keen sports fan, taking in football, motorsport and cricket whenever he gets the chance.  An avid reader and amateur military historian, Liam also has a long-time passion for classic aircraft, old cars and historic motorbikes.  He can also occasionally be seen pottering around the canals of Cheshire on his narrowboat.

Gary is an ACIB qualified payments expert. After spending 10 years in Banking, Gary worked for over 25 years mainly as a Director within Worldpay’s UK Corporate Sales environment before deciding to lead HAL’s consultancy division

Outside of HAL Payments

Family time, friend time and pub time. Gary is a Lover of sport although sadly more of a watching brief these days. He is also a 35-year aspiring rhythm guitar god.

International sales and business development specialist in Payments, eCommerce, Financial Services and multiple VAS. Specialising in C-level relationship management, global partnership and enterprise business expansion. Main focus is to create and deliver sustainable growth across SCEE.

Ioana has accumulated 20 years of international experience working in a multi-national and multi-linguistic payment environment. Selling both issuing and acquiring payment services to Retail Banks, Financial Institutions and directly to enterprise e-merchants across Europe.

She has been instrumental in launching new markets and services for various companies such as Deutsche Telekom, Western Union and Ria Money Transfers (Euronet Worldwide Inc.) selling payment solutions to both corporate and retail institutions. Ioana leads a consultative approach with connections to many of the large banks in the region aiding their strategy in consistently increasing profitability.

Ioana speaks English, Spanish and Romanian fluently and has a good level of Italian. She currently lives in Bucharest, her city of birth but she has also lived in Turin, Madrid and Istanbul.

Outside of HAL Payments

Married, with 1 child who just turned 17 years old. Further details are needless. Ioana is passionate about interior design and antiques. She loves Paolo Sorrentino movies and Jude Law for his role in The Young Pope.

Andy has spent over 30 years working in Sales and Senior Leadership roles within the banking and financial services industry, building, managing and leading inter disciplinary teams for some of the largest global payment players. He has worked as part of executive teams on strategy including acquisitions and sales and with finance partners engaged on such projects.

His experience covers managing teams in different geographic locations across Europe and US. Since setting up HAL he has worked in an advisory capacity to support other payment companies looking to grow their value.

Outside of HAL

Andy is married with 2 children and lives in Cheshire where he is trying to become a better gardener. He enjoys sports of all types travelling to as many iconic events around the globe as possible. He also has a passion for antiques and relishes any opportunity to drive around Europe hunting new treasures.
